Once you have posted 10 times on this forum go here (or click PROFILE in the horizontal bar at the top right of this page) and then click Forum Profile Information located on the left hand side of the page.

You are correct, just go to your profile settings and there are more menus to choose there, try forum profile.

I am so excited reading this forum. I have been reading it for months and finally it is my turn to be in feeling this anxiety which is terrible but excited.

Again good luck for all of us and it is very nice to know that there is not many applications send them back like for September applicants. I was worried about that and on panic but time passed and We just have to wait for AOR1.

I been watching the forum for one year and now here I am, let the games begin

You'll get AOR first. Then you will wait a month or so after that before you get SA. Getting an AOR does not mean you get SA, but if you meet all the qualifications with no red flags don't worry about being approved as a sponsor. The only issue may be is if you forgot to include something in your application.

Like Krishnalynn said, SA comes after AOR.

The process is as follows:

1. Send in your application

2. AOR - comes approx. 30 days after application arrives in Mississauga

3. SA - comes approx. 30 days after AOR. Your file will then be sent to your secondary VO.

4. AOR2 - comes a few days to a few weeks after SA once your application arrives at the new VO; note that not all secondary VOs do AOR2. If you don't receive AOR2, there's nothing that's gone wrong.

5. Passport Request. Note that visa-exempt countries will not have Passport Requests (PPR); check threads with your specific VO to learn if yours is one of them. You will be contacted for your PP if it is required.

6. DM or Decision Made months after SA. Dance and celebrate that you've made it.

7. Receive COPR in the mail a few days to weeks after DM, which allows you to land in Canada.

8. Land in Canada with COPR in hand.

9. Get SIN number (usually at the same place you land), get a job, learn what your province requires for health coverage, and live long and prosper! You can even apply for citizenship after a few years.

SA is almost always approved. I haven't heard a single person in the last year I've been on these forums who hasn't been approved.

DM also has high success numbers. I've only heard of a handful of people who weren't approved.

Yes I agree, I'm anticipating we should hear in December 2015, with our files being transferred to our VO offices in December 2015 or January 2016 and I guess that's when we start counting down our processing times.

I just sponsored my spouse who is in Mauritius,and on the 27th of October,R.Mahmood received my application in Mississauga Case Processing Centre.
I just wanted to know if anyone here is going through the same and can share some thoughts.The visa office where my husband's application will be processed will be sent to Pretoria Office if approved.

I am Canadian Citizen sponsoring my wife from IRAQ (OUTLAND), CIC in Missusiga received my sponsorship application on 16-10-2015, in ECAS updated (we started processing your sponsorship on 23-Oct-2015, then few days later I got approval to be sponsor via email on 27-Oct-2015 and they sent the application for PR to Amman office, this regarding sponsor application

now I am checking online regarding my wife PR application, in ECAS I found , We received your wife application for PR on 16-Oct-2015, then few days later I found another statement saying , we started processing your wife PR application on 10-Nov-2015.

guys what that mean when they are saying , we are processing after the first statement saying we received in ECAS, is that mean , they really open the file and processing started?
another thing I believe the approval for sponsoring wife taking 2 month previously but in my case takes just 10 days or less, does this mean they speed up the process?

i think they fasten the process only for IRAQ/syrian people.
