Only Ottawa sends out passport request? Will Sydney send out passport request? I got DM on July 23rd. I just called the cic call center and the agent said my file is still in Sydney. He said it may take care of all my files in sydney. Is that correct?

I think Sydney office is processing our files for final stage that's why its taking too long.Ottawa is usually much faster than sydney office but some times sydney office process files for final stage too.I don't have any better excuse than this one to justify that why they're taking too long

Same here. Paid for the landing fee but no IP yet and it had been a month! Wondering what is going on but I guess it is vacation for everyone

There is no word can discribe how thankful we are for your efforts in this great forum.
I have a little question ( maybe its a silly one, Grin ) ..

10 days ago I got my PPR letter Cheesy, and cause I`m from EGYPT, I sent an email to CPC Ottawa asking them to let me stamp the Visa in Cairo, But unfortionatly I got no answer until now, I thought of some options and I just wanna you to advice me which one is the best choice :

1- Wait until I got reply from CPC, and stamp visas here in Cairo.
2- Send passports to CPC in Ottawa via UPS ( International shipping company ) and let them bring back my passports to Egypt.
3- Send passports to CPC in Ottawa via UPS and after its stamped I let them send them to one of my friends in Canada, and then he can send them to me by anyway.

Please notice that I already have a mailing address in Canada and its recorded on my application.
Is it allowed to anyone to send passports directly to CPC Ottawa, or not?

You are legally not allowed to send passport across borders and even if you do

option 2: CIC don't send back passport if mailing address is not within north america.
option 3 : If you are allowed to send passport,then option 3rd you can choose.

option 1: wait for 2 more days , if not send a followup email and if you see no reply even that try to call cic and explain them your situation .

Contact your the VO in Cairo. CIC will not mail passport internationally (outside North America)

They are just way tooooo slow!!!! cant understand why they stuck on those such easy stuff!

I am October 20 applicant, my file is in Ottawa. IP status last July 24. I am hoping to get DM and PPR soon.

I am considering my application processing is fast.

October 20 file received.
My husband (dependent) only completed his medical last July 9, 2015
ECAS: Medical received July 16, 2015.
Asked for additional document: July 17, 2015.
Visa Office Received additional doc: July 21, 2015
ECAS: In Process: July 24, 2015

So, I am considering my file still on fast pace. Waiting for PPR and DM. Hopefully receive soon.
