I just spoke to VFS which is managing the passport collection here. They said withdrawing the application will get my passports back in 2 days. My passports are with them for last 2 months and communicating with them has been difficult as it is only one sided with me. I have sent a mail to Ottawa regarding the same doubt but they haven't replied back yet. The local high commission office is a pain, no way to communicate except for email and they have not been replying till now.harirajmohan said:We can get it stamped from local consulate.

Withdrawing the passport will take time or will delay unnecessarily. Why cant you ask the same consulate to stamp for PR and raise cse or email them with detail. If they have already processed and stamped for work permit then it doesnt matter as you wont use it and they might stamp another one for PR.
