To those applicants that has dependents in the Philippines:

Do they (our dependents) need to take PDOS - Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar Schedule prior leaving the Philippines?

My husband formerly worked in Canada for 5 years but recently went back to Philippines. Does he still needs to get this?

Thanks.

I didn't know that RPRF was such a big thing. What does it mean exactly, are we close to PPR? I am an Oct applicant and got&paid the RPRF mid May. No news until now, except a request for my kid's passport, which we had to renew anyway. Does anyone know how much longer will this take?
Oh, the info at ECAS has changed as well , they state that they started processing my application on June 21st. I'd appreciated some enlightenment about times! Thanks :)

Nothing yet.... I cant sleep at nights... :p

I did pay RPRF upfront that's why I'm not really expecting to get a request for that. I just wanted to know at least if people who got a request got an In Process as well. I'm not sure if they will skip In Process to Decision Made for those who paid upfront. Ri123, I know you paid upfront too right? My file reached CIC on October 20. U?

Hi! Would you minde asking what does GCMS means? Sorry im just curious thank you..
Its actually your electronic records from Citizenship and Immigration Canada on your immigration file. You can request it when you file is under processing or after refusal of your any application.I requested mine too last month and got them yesterday. You can go online on ATIP and can request copy if you like for peace of your mind. It only cost you $5. Its not really helpful but atleast you can find if your file is under review or not. i am so glad mine is not under any review .

Yeah i paid it upfront though that will speed up process a bit as its already so slow. My file reached on Oct 10. Thats what i am thinking probably there will be no IP for us and direct DM or passport request.Fingers crossed hoping to hear back from them before mid of july

Not exactly. There are people that paid rprf upfront that advance to ip. Paying rprf upfront may not save you anytime - maybe one or two days
