Thanks for the reply, wang tzu.wang tzu said:PPR is usually sent by email , as I got it by email
I don't think they notify people. On my case, I just found out because I sent a request to change my name (second name is misspelled) and they said they can't do anything about my paper anymore because it's been forwarded. They then gave me the ottawa email ad.Shandaggy said:How do you know if your files transfered?? Do they notify you?

Around how many weeks did it take after DM before you got your PPR?
Also, do you know if your application was transferred to Ottawa after DM?
I know, same for me, super frustrating. Impossible to plan any vacations abroad because of it and I hate it!Kris01 said:13 months since AOR, 4 months since IP, and still no news.

Have you requested a GCSM note?lafleur16 said:I know, same for me, super frustrating. Impossible to plan any vacations abroad because of it and I hate it!
No but I don't think I need it. Could it make it move faster? I don't think though...Kris01 said:Have you requested a GCSM note?
it can take between 3-4 months. When I landed back in Sept the officer told me that you can expect your PR card in mail by end of Dec or in Jan 2016.lafleur16 said:Does someone know how long it usually take to get the PR card? No it won't speed it up, but could provide some info, like if the background check is completed or not.lafleur16 said:No but I don't think I need it. Could it make it move faster? I don't think though...
If you need it faster for some particular reason, you can get it faster, there is a fee for that, just check in CIC websitelafleur16 said:Does someone know how long it usually take to get the PR card? I know that CIC tell us 1 to 2 months but I just want to know what it is in real.
Thanks for the answer but after checking the CIC website I don't think I can make it faster because I should have a planed trip and prove it and it is not the case. I am just waiting to get it before planning it so...Artak-g said:If you need it faster for some particular reason, you can get it faster, there is a fee for that, just check in CIC website
