I received AOR2 on Februeary 20th, 2015. On that same letter they requested me to get police certificate, an updated version of IMM5669 form, payment of right of permanent residence fee and copy of my husband´s valid bio data page from his passport. Today I sent all requested documents, march 17th, 2015.
Just wait a little bit more, we are almost there......!!!

Thanks LaLa320.

We ordered notes on February 2015 and got it on 13 March 2015 just after our application got into process on 3 March 2015. The notes contained absolutely nothing to our interest and we will order again in May or June to see if there was any progress.

P.S I wonder whether ordering notes got us into process. Just an intuition Nothing concrete ;)

Aww thanks a lot for the good wishes....I wonder if they will open the envelope quickly and continue with my application or since they requested for additional information then this puts me back in the line again! and then you just have to be lucky until after one more year someone says "hey! let me see what´s in there!!" lol

Something funny happened to me because I tried to deliver the envelope with all the additional documents right there at the embassy myself, since I live in MexCity and the VO is in MexCity, but I was told I had to use courier service like Fedex or DHL lol (I know, my bad), so I literally had to walk two blocks to find the closest Fedex office and drop it there so they could take it to embassy.

I wonder why they don´t allow public drop-offs....anyways, I just thought I could feel safer if I delivered it myself, but no one there will accept any kind of documents/envelopes etc.....so just a reminder to send everything by mail and don´t make the mistake I did.

:)

Finally! Got updates today from "in process" to "Decision made" :D

Is there a Peter in the October forum?

The spreadsheet was out of whack. I had to go back 3 days to do a restore. Everyone might want to confirm their information looks good.

Oh I noticed that the other day, weird. But I found the correct info (what appears to be correct) on the 3rd tab over under "Copy of Applicant Form" ? sadly my blue status in Otttawa is still correct. At least it will be warm by the time we move to Canada...

Divyanjali: this was the conversation on this thread earlier
Yes it is necessary to inform CRA of a marital change and it can be done online or by calling them. While filing it will ask for your marital status as of Dec 31, 2014 so if you were married by then you will have to file as being married.

This link show the rules

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pub/tp/it513r/it513r-e.html#P178_25861

In terms of filing taxes for your spouse:
You dont need to file the taxes for your spouse since they are not in the country

In terms of adding your spouse (non-resident) to your taxes:
The person filing for taxes is able to add a non-resident spouse to the filing. I called the CRA and confirmed with two agent; they said I will have to declare her world income and have to show proof if requested of us being married (they suggest that if you are supporting your spouse, you can show the payment receipts but I presume a marriage certificate etc will also help). This was the same story told by my tax consultant at H&R block with whom I have been filing.

Since my wife is not working and has no income other than mine, I added her to my taxes and claimed her (I think her base was 11,000 odd) and got a bigger tax refund Smiley Smiley

Wednesday evening Rabat ask for personal history and all addresses of my husband. We send that in and they receive it the previous week. But they then point out they want it all on a IMM5669. And so we were able to fill it out, get a signature and email it back as per instructions of Rabat. Thank goodness for email. Now it appears ecas is having technical difficulties. Will check it later... happy Friday all!

Hi.. I am a november applicant and I thought someone from here might have some information about my question.
So, we already got SA and app has been transferred to VO abroad.
Yesterday, I got an email requesting this: Certified Criminal Record Check (Civil Fingerprinting Screening) issued by the RCMP.
I am going to get that done on Monday.
I was wondering how long it takes to get the results since it's for immigration purpose?
On the police website it says: If you need the Criminal Record search for school or employment reasons remember the process can take upwards of 12 to 16 weeks to complete. So I guess it won't take 12-16 weeks because it's for immigration purpose, am I right?
did anyone go through this?

I did my fingerprint criminal record check thru commissionaires. It was close to my house, a little more expensive than city police. But got my results about 5 days later.
