AOR 2 is sent ,after you have received SA, by the Visa office (E.G Pretoria in my case) that you have chosen for processing the PR of the principal applicant. It contains the file number and the UCI number of the principal applicant and you can also track any update on ECas with the information.

So how much time it will take after receiving that ?

I got AOR 2 after a week from receiving SA. No one can predict after how long you receive and some visa office don't even send AOR 2.

If you were asking how much time you will get a response with regards to your PR application then you will have to check the processing time of your visa office and also try to find the thread for yours.

There are no hard and fast rules but some cases take less time while others take more.

Actually we only recieve AOR i dont dont know its AOR 2 Or SA or AOR so want to confirm. It contains Application No, UCI and comfirmation of receiving application thats it. So what is it ? Please let me know.

AOR is sent by CIC Mississauga to the sponsor to acknowledge receipt of your application. You should receive a response if your application is close to the processing time as indicated on the website.

In case your application have exceeded the processing time, i will recommend you to call CIC and ask for any update.

What is your timeline?

Princess 786 you already posted all of these questions in the December thread. You have only received AOR1 and you just have to be patienet for SA. It will come eventually.

Hi All,

Filling Tax 2014 is not in the scope of this thread but its relevant to us as our marital status changed on CRA account, therefore filling tax would be as an married/ CL.

Topics to discuss are:

1 should we claim tax credit? how much (based on remittances or not)?
2 if yes, what evidences do u have to prove ur spouse income (non-resident)
3 which software u use to file?

Yes it is necessary to inform CRA of a marital change and it can be done online or by calling them. While filing it will ask for your marital status as of Dec 31, 2014 so if you were married by then you will have to file as being married.

In terms of filing taxes for your spouse:
You dont need to file the taxes for your spouse since they are not in the country

In terms of adding your spouse (non-resident) to your taxes:
The person filing for taxes is able to add a non-resident spouse to the filing. I called the CRA and confirmed with two agent; they said I will have to declare her world income and have to show proof if requested of us being married (they suggest that if you are supporting your spouse, you can show the payment receipts but I presume a marriage certificate etc will also help). This was the same story told by my tax consultant at H&R block with whom I have been filing.

Since my wife is not working and has no income other than mine, I added her to my taxes and claimed her (I think her base was 11,000 odd) and got a bigger tax refund :) :)

Hope that helps.
+1 if it did :)

Some applications take longer to get SA so you shouldnt be worried. The SA is sent to the sponsorship approval

Can you please stop posting the same question everywhere. it's being annoying.

It can be happened that SA letter will not come ?

As already mentioned by others there is no set time as to when you can get SA after AOR.

Your only option is to wait and sit tight and if its more than a month then I would say contact them asking for the status.

We have seen people not getting SA letter but the file already transferred (could CIC did send it but the sponsor didnt get it)

Hi All

I got a my birthday gift a week before :D ;D

They have started processing my application as from 03 March 2015. A huge sign of relief after seeing that.

Best of luck to you all.

Wow! That's amazing!! So fast! I'm sure you'll get your PPR very soon! :)
And I just checked the official time for Pretoria, it's 19 months!
Congratulations to you! :D

We just got decision made!!!! I'm hoping its a positive decision we went straight from application received to DM, with no correspondence or requests from CIC. Trying not to be too excited until I actually have COPR in my hand...
60 days for SA and 66 days from SA to DM....so quick!
