this is an AOR. The UCI/application number should be at the very top before "Dear so & so". If you didn't get it, they may have missed it. Could be just a Human error.

The UCI/Application number doesn't work until after your SA.

Application for sponsoring my US citizen minor daughter reached 10/22. Still waiting on AOR.

Just saw I left a question/box(live out of quebec or in quebec?) unmarked in Sponsor application page. Lets see if they return it for that. would be bad....

doubtful. i think they look for signatures/dates/form validity. i left some answers blank, and it did not affect my processing at all. the way i see it, once it gets to the visa office, if the answer is found elsewhere in the application, they won't need you to do anything. at least that's the conclusion i came to about my missing answers. my guess is it won't impact sponsor approval at all. the only issue i see would be if you were to settle in quebec because that requires additional paperwork. only time will tell...

I got verbal AOR today. I'm sick and at home today so I decided to give it a shot by calling them. The officer said my file was received on Oct 23 (same as courier confirmation date) and gave me a temporary file number. He just said that in my case, they created a shell file only with a temp number and nothing else in it. No one has looked through the file yet and they are prohibited from giving me any other information since they are really 'still working on Oct 16 applications'.

Yea, keeping fingers crossed. I'm going on a vacation next week for the rest of the month so I really hope they don't tell me during my vacation that I'm missing documents.

most likely they will not ask for docs bcz if you were missing any they let you know within one month of the file submission..ur fine

Yes this email doesn't contain an file or UCI number.

We are less stressed though this email doesn't contain the number and happy just to receive something...

I got my AOR on a Saturday Nov 29th and then SA came on Monday Dec 1st. From what I have seen, SAs doesn't take too long if you have already received an AOR. Like rhcohen mentioned, your SA should have your UCI number so there is nothing to stress out about. You are getting closer to your approval.
