The postal address showing on ECAS is my new Canadian address in Ontario.Mulez said:Okay. What post address shows ECAS? If the address is in Canada, you can expect your COPR send to your Canadian address, otherwise, your husband will receive an email from the Ottawa VO, and Londen will take care of the rest.
If your husband is a UK citizen, it is unlikely that they will want his physical passport. Instead, he will receive the confirmation of permanent residence (COPR) in the mail with the address CIC has on file for him. That COPR is his landing document; they would not need his passport because he is visa-exempt and would not need a single-entry visa to arrive in Canada.Lyndagiffen said:I thought perhaps they would write to my husband in the UK asking him to submit his passport to the London Embassy to get it stamped, then returned to him. Or will they perhaps send a PR card directly to my address here?
Pretoria did the contrary for me. They have asked me to do re medical but have not yet requested my passport. On the same email, they stated that my background check is still pending. God knows how much time it will take.Awmf2014 said:Hello,
After my passport request, I got a request to re-submit my medicals. Does anyone have any idea how long it will take to process the medicals?

I have done it on the first of August 2015. They have not confirmed receipt yet. I will email them the emedical tracking sheet upon receipt of same from the clinic.Awmf2014 said:How long ago did you submit your medical? Have they confirmed that they have received it?
Yes, you must land. Service Canada will need the signed/stamped COPR, since your permanent residence status in Canada is not official until you go through the landing process.Awmf2014 said:I am the applicant and I am inside Canada. Does anyone know if I have to land to get a SIN number, or can I just use my COPR document to apply for SIN number
