Hello Everyone, greetings!! quick question on AOR, i understand couple of question on rounds with this but im lost reading all answers, i know this is my bad lol.
my case, im sponsoring my wife from India, applicaton was recieved by CIC in October 2014,
sponsorship approval email was recieved on december/9/2014 with an UCI # & letter also stated my wifes file have been forwarded to visa office abroad,
second email on December 29/2014 addressing my wife which states immigration have recieved her file for PR, with a different UCI# & we have to submit RPRF/PCC if not submitted earlier.
my question is - 1)are we supposed to get anymore file# or AOR(not sure what this is) ? i tried to check application status with sponsorship approval UCI# & THIS SHOWS APPLICATON RECIEVED.
2) will CIC update status only via my wifes UCI#.(APPARENTLY I CANNOT LOGIN BY THE SECOND UCI#)
tnx in advance guys!

1) You have already got the AOR2 from NDVO which contains your wife's UCI number and thats it.

2) You will be able to see the status by your UCI and hers.

Super tnx!!

Finally for the Sponsorship approval.
Application reached 10/23/2014
Document request Jan 2015. Provided Jan 2015
Sponsor approval 2/23/205

They say they have sent application to "visa office abroad" but then they give the contact information for Ottawa office? So, is the application staying in Canada?

My daughter(being sponsored) is US citizen and we picked LA office. Hopefully it is faster in Ottawa. Anybody any experience in Ottawa? Thanks!!

All Americans are processed in Ottawa. LA is used only if an interview is required. Ottawa is about 8 months from start to finish. Ottawa's been stagnant for months, but it appears they did this last year. The trend shows around mid/late March they kick up the family sponsorship applications and get things rolling again.

Going tomorrow to request my police clearance here in Mexico, I hope they don´t take too long as I only have two hours from lunch break which I intend to use to get this done. Then I have to wait ten days until they have it ready, go pick it up, get it translated and send to VO so they can continue processing my application.
:) Cheers! I´ll let you know how it went.

Hi everyone,
My husband and I thought that it might be a good idea to connect with other Aussie ex-pats (and partners) (Kiwis welcome too!!)
all going through the same process. I wanted to be a little less anonymous!
I have created a facebook group if anyone is keen to join.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/730074400442960/

I've kept the group closed to try and avoid a load of spamming etc.

Let me know when you've sent a request and I'll add you.

Those that have been through the process with Sydney office already are welcome to join too, the insight would be welcomed.

Fabibeach, what kind of pictures did you use to get the PGR certificate? I'm not Mexican but I lived in DF for 2 years and I need police clearance from Mexico. I sent passport-sized pictures to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City but it seems that they want a different kind of format. Any experience with this?

Just checking in to see how everything is going with everybody! It just seems like things are moving in slow motion since I received SA back in December! The waiting is very nerve-wracking, but I know I have to be patient. I hope things start rolling and OCT applicants start receiving PPR next month or in April. Fingers crossed!

I'm checking in for the same reason. We've just sold the house and will be leaving for Canada at the end of May under the "Dual Intent" thingy. Hopefully that'll work out fine. If it's taking around 8 months from start to finish (as another comment said higher up) then that means I can expect to wait until July before I hear anything.

Keep on waiting I guess...

Radio silence since we received our SA. Sent them an email to enquire about medicals and we have seen medical received as from last week. At least a movement at their end and we also ordered notes on 13 Feb.

We just have to wait as from now and sight any slight at their end.

Good luck everybody and don't forget to update us on anything.
