Just called call centre. Agent said no issue with my file, background check is complete.

Anyone knows what would usually happen next? More checks or plain waiting?

Local CIC office would be waiting to schedule your test date in the next available slot. Congratulations and watch out for the test invite.

Hello Friends!!!

I have my test and interview on 2nd march 2015. Today I was making copies of my passport for translation of few Arabic stamps on my passport. Accidentally I torn half of the page of my passport. Half of the page is still intact. One side of the page has my Canadian visa issued at the time of immigration, and the other side of page has UAE exit stamp on it.

My question is how the officer will react on it?
There could be any delay in my citizenship, they may be send this for re verification etcc..

I appreciate if some one could give some comments on it and if some went through the similar situation!!!

thanks

ok ..we are in the same boat... montreal is slow...:(((

Zagy,

Similar thing happened to me as well. My Canadian visa got peeled because it wasn't properly glued to begin with. The page where the visa was glued got torn a little bit. I was nervous when I went to my interview after the test. The immigration officer just compared my passport stamps to the residential calculator and didn't even say anything about the unglued visa and the a little torn page. I wouldn't worry about it. As long as your stamps match with your residential calculator absences from Canada and the biographical page is intact it should be fine.
