I posted this in the big forum but thought I'd share this here too for my fellow Octoberians. I just wanted to share some happy news!!!! After almost 14 months of processing we finally heard back with the following letter:
"Your visa(s) for permanent residence to Canada is/are ready to be issued, conditional to a final admissibility review by an immigration officer. Your visa(s) will be valid for your initial entry to Canada until 2015/08/05 (yyyy/mm/dd)."
Naiiyak ako grabe. We just need to re-submit his passport asap. Hopefully we get it back quickly as we have a church wedding in January and our honeymoon planned right after in Japan. It says they will return it within 90 working days but we need it before January 4.

Follow up with CEM via email- October 7 - they replied and returned husband's passport with no visa since we said it was hindering him from traveling (wrong choice of words on our part).
