Hey rorosgurl, we have almost matching dates! My SA approval was 2 days after yours :) Also still waiting.

(I would update my side bar but I can't figure it out.)

1) Go to the Profile link toward the top of the page.
2) Click it.
3) On the sidebar to the left of the screen is a section called Modify Profile. Under that is a link Forum Profile Info. Click that.
4) Scroll down. There will be areas to fill in the dates you completed each step of the immigration process.
5) Click Save.

Hi everyone,

I am so glad to have found this forum. This has been a long hard process so it is nice to connect with others going through the same thing. I am right behind most of you time wise (Oct 31) so it is good to see some movement. Just wanted to say that when my hubby originally applied for fingerprints it took about 4 weeks to get them not the crazy length of time listed on the website. You should get them well within the time frame. Good luck and congrats!

Welcome, notsopatient! When you have a moment, please fill in your immigration timeline dates in the bar to the left of your post. Instructions on how to do that are in the post right above your introduction post. That way everyone can see when you submitted your app, when it was received, when it was assigned, when your meds were done, when other steps in your application process are completed. This info helps everyone going through the same process.

Also, a little bit about you would be great! Like, where are you applying from, what visa office is processing your application. If you're being processed in Ottawa, the Ottawa thread can be helpful, and you can ask to be added to the Ottawa spreadsheet with the others. I imagine there are threads for the other visa offices as well.

Thanks for the welcome Saneth :)

I tried following the instructions but I only have "account related settings" under modify profile which only lets me change my password, email etc. I wonder if I have to post a minimum number of posts to be able to link to account? In any case yes I at the Ottawa office so will check out that link as well and see if I can be added to that spreadsheet. Thanks for suggesting it.
As for me, I am a Canadian sponsoring an American hubby and his two kids. I'm hoping the addition of sponsoring two dependent children isn't going to complicate things for us. I wanted to bring them into the country as students when we first started the application process last year but we got denied student visas with no reason stated and were told not to bother to reapply unless circumstances changed substantially. I'm hoping that the fact that I have been approved as a sponsor will be considered a substantial change in case PR doesn't come through by September of this year. I feel as though I have been sitting on eggshells every since this process started!

Thanks Graihn that is what I suspected.

Guys,

Anybody got a good news?? My application type: Spouse sponsor
My passport was submitted in New Delhi office on Nov 29, 2013 and since then there's no update on my ECAS. All I can see is application received. Its been 5 months and 6 days since my passport was received there. I tried contacting New Delhi visa office through email and got reply stating....your application is pending officers review. Any idea why is taking a long time??

Fingers crossed

Is anyone on this thread having their visa processed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates?

Also if I did my medicals before i submitted my application (medicals done on August 25th, 2013) and application submitted in October 2013, then will they ask me to do my medicals again if the visa isn't issued by June or July latest? My online status says application 'in process' since 21 April 2014.

I have just checked CIC and found my application updated DECISION MADE. :o

I submitted my application in Oct 2013 which they only started to review on April 14th this year and they have already made a decision after 3 weeks.

But they don't actually tell you what it is and state they will write to you. What is the point? it's a new kind of torture! :'(

My partner is convinced it is good news as my application was very comprehensive and thorough. Me being skeptical is just worried that they have rejected me out of hand - i am not sure why that would be but of course the 'decision made but we aren't telling you' online system just encourages that negativity.

Can someone explain why there is a secure login system that tells you a decision has been made but doesn't tell you what it is.

Worried, annoyed and frustrated with the whole system.

Hi saintsim1

I must be missing something?!!!

Why congrats? Help i am losing my hair over this now, no doc requests since dec/13 when they asked for all my previous addresses not last 10 years, they have medical.

Does decision made intimate a successful application?

Sorry for my ignorance but what is PPR?

Yes. if it was bad news, you would have long been made aware and given a chance to make a stronger case
