thanks, drewday! You're pretty one of the most active applicants here in this thread. I can see your posts/comments almost anywhere in this whole forum.

Anyway, I noticed we are on the same boat, in terms of medical expiration - mine expired March, yours will at the end of this month. I've already brought this concern to CEM's attention (sent an email) last Feb., and were told (reply) they'll raise this concern to authority. So, right now, I'm just waiting for any advice from them (should there be any).

Congrats to those who got good news from their VO! I just notice that Manila VO has an average of 9 months waiting time before they requested PPR so I guess ours will probably July or August what do you think guys?lol ;D

Hi All,

I am also an October applicant. My husband and I are Indian citizens but live in the UAE. My husband applied and received his PR before we got married in 2012. He left to Canada in August 2013 and we tried our best to submit the application (which was so difficult and time consuming) at the earliest which was September 2013. My timelines are:

2 Oct 2013 - Application received by missisuaga (according to online status)
19 Oct 2013 - AOR
31 Oct -Step 1 completed. My husband was approved as a sponsor
28 Jan - AOR from Abu Dhabi office
28 Jan - Additional docs requested by Abu Dhabi office

Until today my status online read - Application received on 28 Jan. But today when i checked it said - Application is under process from 21 April2014!

Does anyone know what this means? Does it mean they received my application in January and only started processing it now? Does the average processing time apply from April 21, 2014? Omg if thats the case, that is so disheartening!

Or does it mean the processing continues now that we have received your additional documents and will be done soon as we have everything we need?

Another question, I am on a residence visa in the UAE, as with any expat in the UAE. If I change my job or residence visa, Do I need to inform the immigration dept? As far as i am aware, as long as i have a valid UAE residence visa, my PR visa will be under process.
