They are starting PPR's for August in Manila. Looks like they are pumping them out and we should be getting ours around the end of June and in July!!!

Hi October family!

My husband landed April 25/2014 this is the start of our new life.

Good luck to all.

so its been six months since my application was received, and sponsorship was approved, and since there weren't any updates (which sucks)! do I assume that the application was verified and there are no missing documents, or is it on a desk waiting to be looked at?

Just wanted to report that my status on e-CAS changed from "Application Received" to "Decision Made" today! I'm a little confused now, though, as my mailing address was also updated from my US address to my husband's Toronto address. Now I don't know whether the COPD is going to be mailed to me in the US or to my husband in Toronto. Wherever it goes, I can't wait to get it!

I sent my application in in October 2013 but it was approved in November 2013 applying for my husband and his son to come to Canada from Jamaica

Hello all,

My husband and I just heard that his interview phase has been waived (yay) but they are requesting that we apply for an FBI clearance directly from the FBI. Unfortunately, we got my husband's FBI Clearance through a "third-party channeler" because we were told that they had faster processing times. Only now we found out that CIC does not accept FBI clearances issued by channelers.

I want to make sure that this time we apply the correct way. Anyone applying for a spouse from the US can advise us?

Are these the two links that we need to fill out and download? They ask for a "cover letter" and "finger print card" but when searching through FBI website different terminology is used. It's confusing and I don't want to make any more mistakes.

(2) file:///Users/KIPPS/Downloads/FBI%20FP%20card.pdf

The CIC website says it will take 16-18 weeks processing (yikes) and the FBI form states 6 weeks or less. Can anyone let us know how long it took them to process for their FBI so we have some idea of how long this will take?

CIC also said we have 60 days to submit requested information but if it takes 16-18 weeks to process we won't make the deadline.

Any advise?

On another thread someone reported that the processing time is more like 3 weeks. I know that for me it was nowhere near 16 weeks . . . For the fingerprints, I made an appointment with my local police department and one of their fingerprint guys took my prints. I think they charged me for it, but it wasn't much. Also I think that some UPS stores can do the Livescan fingerprinting. I would go to a police department just to be sure :) Then I submitted the fingerprints along with the fingerprint request form on this website: http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/submitting-an-identity-history-summary-request-to-the-fbi. The whole thing wasn't too difficult.

Good luck!

Just wanted to report here on the October 2013 Outland applicant thread that I got my COPR today! You can see my whole timeline here on the Ottawa spreadsheet:

Congrats saneth. I am a day after you and still haven't heard anything yet. I am freaking out so bad. I want to close my eyes and open them with the copr in my hands. Lol

Rorosgurl, why not put your timeline on your sidebar? Just go to the profile link at the top of the page and it will open a new screen with a link on the left hand side where you can edit your profile and input the important dates. Then we can all see how you're progressing.

Is application filled same as application received? Or is application received same as AOR. This is confusing

My sponsorship approval and file transfer are the same date from the letter I received.

Big congrats Saneth!! And thank you for responding to my question about FBI processing times :)

Could you just confirm for me the "cover letter" link? Is it https://forms.fbi.gov/identity-history-summary-checks-review/q384893984839334.pdf ?

They refer to the FBI clearance as Identity History Summary Request and not "cover letter" so I'm a little confused. It seems like we are so close to finishing this process and I am so worried about making any more mistakes that will cause delays.

Thanks in advance!

It's been awhile since I did the fingerprint process (I think I did it in August 2013) but I do remember filling out that form. I remember laughing at the hair color choices . . . pink, purple, orange, green lol.
