hi chrislyn another question :) how did you send your requirements? is it on your hubby first ? because I'm done with all the requirements i will send to my husband at the canada,,
Hi jolyn I think its me you've been looking for (dhey)..lol in my case I'm also the principal applicant, what I did is I complete all the forms needed for both of us (my husband and I) because there are sponsorship forms that you need to be sign.. So if you want you may also do that. Just keep asking your husband about the information you need to fill-up so when the time you send your application to him all he has to do is to complete the requirements and sign his part. We did not use the form "use of representatives" if no 3rd person involve in complying the requirements. And also about the child thing you don't need to answer that it is only applicable if you have independent child. I hope I answer all the information you needed. Good luck! :)

@jolyn Correction: Dependent child

hi chrislyn thank you for the reply,, its stress because i need to do a lot of things,, I'm done with my police certificate,, about the chats logs and emails oh my i need to screenshots our messages to each other because we just message only at Facebook, Skype and FaceTime also,,i need also to change my status at my passport and last the medical ,,, and now i want to ask should i need also to print this form ?Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) - but i will not use a representative

me and my husband we don't have both child,, so we don't need to print the form Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent/Guardian for Minors Immigrating to Canada (IMM 5604) - is it correct chrislyn? actually I'm not good english so some english its hard to understand :D

hi u dont need to submit IMM 5604 and IMM 5476 coz as uv said ur not using a representative..and before u answer each questions, u can open another tab in ur pc about guidelines on how to answer the forms http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp and its pretty straight forward so u should be fine :) good luck

Ok so Mississauga received our app Oct 18th . . called them today and they are saying its in the system now . . what does this mean? lol

Mine too received on Oct 17 nothing yet.. I checked Ecas using my husbands client ID and DoB. its saying application received on October 17th.. thatz it.. now website is showing "Working on applications received on October 23, 2013"... I am really pissed off.. why Cic is doing like this..?

I just wanted to drop by and say hello, went through this process bringing my wife from Canada to US in 2009. I will be applying for permanent resident to Canada when I retire, so will have to go through the process again. Looking forward to moving to Canada. Patience is the key, and making sure paper work is complete and concise. Only give them what they ask for, sometimes extra paperwork just is not necessary. God bless and carry on.

What can you check with AOR?

They don't always update ECAS straight away. Just sit patiently (I know it's easy to say) mine took double the time of most people.

Hello everyone,

We are about to send our application, but the only thing missing is my husband's "NO DEROGATORY RECORD" (SAUDI POLICE CLEARANCE) and OLD DFA said it would take 2-3 months to have it released, he used to work in Jeddah for about 2 yrs. do you think we can go ahead and send in the application? I have read in the past posts, CEM asks this document in PPR stage., can anyone enlighten me about this or anybody same situation as mine?

Please help! thanks

Hi All!

Our application was received in Missassauga Oct 28 and we looked yesterday at our status and a decision was made about sponsorship on November 18! They have mailed us a letter so now we wait for it to arrive to hear what the decision was! Is it normal for them to mail it rather than email?

Getting excited!

hi everyone, my husband and I will be submitting our application by third week of october. He will be sponsoring me by the way :) I was reading back on several posts in other topics and i keep on seeing time lines and how come most time lines reflect that the medical was already completed prior to submission? Do you guys receive medical requests at once? ??? Hope to hear from one of you :)
it's normal to go have the medical done before applying. CIC matches up the medical with your application. I think it can slow down the processing if you wait for them to request a medical.
