HI...we are submitting on friday. I was wondering October applicants, can i send my package via my sister who is visiting us overseas so I save on courier charges, or must the post mark be from outside since we are applying outbound. thanks. erica

Still cant access my application on Ecas but at least I got the SA letter so I think I can assume everything should be moving along. I think we will be on the same time schedule it looks like.

Hi Chrislyn, my children's certificate of citizenship was issued to us 1st week of October. We submitted it on May 1,2013 (CEM). We got an AOR August 2013, after 2 months it was delivered to our address in Canada. We decided to have it sent there (CAN). We were surprised that it was processed in less than 6 months. I bet your baby's application will be fast too.

hi there. dont get me wrong, i am just concerned but there is a possibility that your application will be returned. ours was returned due to lack of medical document. i suggest that your wife undergo an upfront medical exam soon , so that by the time your application is returned your proof of medical will be ready for incorporation to the whole package. Hi thanks for the headsup. We submitted a cover letter explanining how all three clinics requested a letter from the visa office to undergo the medical exam. They said its the general procedure in Abu Dhabi to obtain a request letter from the visa office prior undergoing the medical exam.

We'll wait and see...

My wife is from US and applied outland while visiting me in Canada. You don't have to be outside Canada to apply outland. My advise is to use a courier or at least Expedited Canada Post because you can get tracking info to tell you the application was received. As well, the idea is to get your application in as soon as possible to get the decision as soon as possible. It is faster to pay all the fees upfront too.
