hi muffinmomma just want to ask is your husband lives here in philippines too for 10 years??even your child born here they are automatically a canadian citizen??
Hi! Yeah. He's been living here for 13 years now. He is dual citizen (Canadian-Filipino). He renews his Canadian passport in CEM. All our children are born here. We applied for their proof of citizenship last May 2013, submitted it here. We received the certificate in Sept. We thought that the processing will be longer (10-14 months) but it only took less than 5 months. We need to be in Canada by Spring next year because my husband will start working in May.Tj777 said:hi muffinmomma just want to ask is your husband lives here in philippines too for 10 years??even your child born here they are automatically a canadian citizen??

Hope that the process will be faster now that the strike is over. But I bet there's a lot of backlogged paperworks for them. Oh well, hoping for the best. By the way, when did you submit your application? is your husband in Canada? Do you have kids? Hope you don't mind me asking.

not yet... but I think we'll only have access after the process is transfered...CanAsian said:Wow, it looks like they are getting faster processing applications in Canada. So far everyone has been under the 27 days they say on the website. Let's just hope Manila is fast as well!
Congrats to Chrislyn and Mngantusa!
Have you guys been able to access your status online?

Still cant access my application on Ecas but at least I got the SA letter so I think I can assume everything should be moving along. I think we will be on the same time schedule it looks like.Chrislyn said:Thanks CanAsian! Yes i was able to check my application on Ecas and it says they received my application and that medical exam has been received. I guess next would be AOR from CEM Manila. Guess they really doing quite fast, from what ive read CEM-M usually takes 25 days up to approve a sponsorship. Thats basing on previous applications..
