I had upfront medical and my doc uploaded them on around 25 march but it showed in my ecase after 7.5 months!

I called cic call centre today . They said my medicals are not yet received.

She said it takes a month to process . So, yours should have been already in as it's been more than a month.

Considering that you're October applicant, they must process your results on priority . I see many march folks getting ppr - they only completed medicals a week ago . System is broken .

I got reply from CIC that they cannot confirm receipt of my medical result as they have loads of application. I wonder why on earth i will know if the have received it or not if they did not update ecas as well.

Just an update for those that have submitted MR but have not see any update in ecas nor receieved any additional notification from CIC.

thanks friend. Can you give me the # to calll. I never knew i could call anyone. and yea, broken system. I know someone on this forum that got mr request after me and submitted result after me but got his request for bio n ppr already. i guess its jut random.

I sent 2 emails asking if they received my medicals.. there was no reply so far.

After two emails, i got the below

"Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).


This email address is intended for case specific enquiries only. For general enquiries, please consult our Website<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp>.

We have received your email sent to the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa (“CPP-O”) and will respond to it shortly if:


· Your application is in process at CPP-O AND is outside the standard processing times

· You notify us of a change in your marital status, the birth of a child, the death of a family member, or the withdrawal of your application

· You notify us of a change in your contact information

· You send us information we have requested

If your request requires us to access your immigration or citizenship file, we would need the following information:


1. Surname (last name)– Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document

2. Given name(s) (first name)– Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document

3. Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD)

4. Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number

5. Application number ( F#, EP#, E#, B#)

6. Type of application (Family Sponsorship, Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominee, Quebec Skilled Worker)


Please include your application number and the purpose of your email in the title.

If you are a person to who we are authorized to release information (written consent on the file), the above information must pertain to the applicant. You must also provide your full name, telephone number and address. If you are not the applicant or you are not authorized to receive information, you will not receive a further reply to your email.

If the above information was not included in your email, please email us again with the requested information. We will not respond to your request until we receive all of this information in one email."

Then i sent another one which includes point 1-6. Below is what i got.

Dear Madam/Sir,

Due to the very high volume of electronic and regular mail this office receives on a daily basis, it is not possible to confirm receipt of any documentation.

Here is a sample of what i sent..

Subject: Urgent - Immigration File # ***- Medical Results

Good morning Sir/Ma

To whom it may concern

I want to verify if my & my husband medical result has been received at the office. I contacted our doctors and I was advised that the medical results has been sent but I have not received any confirmation from you that it has been received.

As the due date that our medical result have to reach your office is in less than 3 weeks, please kindly advise if the result have been received or not so I can act as soon as possible.

Thanks for the very detailed answer ! I hope that you get your PPR within next week.. If processing of your medical is the only pending thing, CIC is doing injustice to you.

I'm still awaiting the medical request email. Has anyone had any luck calling that toll free number? I've wrote my member of parliament not sure it will do anything but this process is ridiculous. This Weds will mark 5months when they told me in July that they made a mistake and found my police certificate that they claimed originally to be missing. I just hope that the case wsa updated as they only gave me 30days at that point to re-produce it. It's such a terrible feeling being in the dark on this whole thing.

What does your GCMS say?

Contacting your local MP may help : usually an application goes through multiple VO's. The VO to whom your application is currently assigned to may be waiting for some update from your side though you had provided the required document a while ago. All these updates to your application are usually recorded as notes at the end of your case file. Sometimes the VO may not see the these notes and wait for an update from you. A quick call from the MP may help; VO might check your file in detail and take the required action.

I filed for those beginning of Nov so hopefully I receive those to see whats going on.

Sorry to here that you are still where you are. I called the toll free number regarding my medical result but ibwas specifically told they do not have access to PR files..

For my first application, I had contacted member of it parliament but it was to no avail. No one replied me. I was refused because my boss made a mistake in the letter she wrote. We offered to produce another letter with evidence so they know my job is real but they replied with a " case closed, please reapply" .

If nember of parliament respond, i will be happy for you. If it is refugee file, they will.
