I called CIC, my application is in the system., still in process. They gave the UCI number.

Hope I will hear approval news soon.

Question About UCI ???

My wife ( Sponsor ) called CIC and got her UCI Number .

When Beneficiary ( Husband) will get his UCI number , after stage 1 approval ???

Please clarify!

Hi Ross, if it's any reassurance, my mum applied to sponsor my step-dad (American) in March this year outland from London. She didn't have a Canadian tax document because she left Canada when she was a child. They didn't have any problems with stage 1 approval. I'm also applying from London to sponsor my husband but have never lived in Canada, so just sent my latest UK tax statement. Is anyone who has already been approved, in the same situation?

Hey Mandy, thanks, that's reassuring. After all the recent approvals it makes me want to call the call centre too! I'll see how long I can hold out!

Yeah, that's what I thought, and I got the original AOR by email, so I would have thought the decision would come by email.

Should I give them a call, or is it possible they sent the AOR by email and the decision by snail mail?

edit: I've checked my spam mail, it's definitely not in there either

Just managed to log into ECAS for the first time. It says:

"We received your application to sponsor Ross Thomson Kilgour on October 24, 2012.

We started processing your application on November 16, 2012.

We sent you a letter on November 16, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

That sounds promising! Perhaps there's a stage 1 approval letter in the post to us? Anyone had a similar experience, or can anyone advise how long it took a letter from CIC to reach the UK?

In ECAS , while typing UIC, is the format should be 9999-9999 or 99999999????

I just did it as written on my email from CIC, which was without any hyphen or space, just a string of numbers.

Still waiting for Stage 1 approval.. When I called CIC, they said application is still " IN PROCESS" . Hope to hear some good news by this weekend.
