Hey Guys,

I wonder if you guys have experienced this during your application, please kindly share your experience with me.

We have just received a letter from the Consulate of Canada (Hong Kong) asking for evidence that my wife (the sponsor) does have the intention to go back to Canada. We need to send the evidence to them within 45 days as stated in the letter. They suggested us to send things like "Notice of Resignation", "Letter of Release from the Inland Revenue Department", "Closing of Financial Accounts", "Job Offer from Canada" etc. So, my wife just submitted her letter of resignation to her boss and we are yet to get all the necessary documents to be submitted to the Inland Revenue Department for tax clearance. Is it normal for the Consulate to ask the sponsor to quit her job so early proving that she has the intention to go back? How long do we have to wait further for them to ask for the police check and passport for the PR visa? It will be quite a big financial burden for my wife not to work for couple months before they actually approve our application.

Anyone who can share your experience is highly appreciated!

Cheers,
HK Guy

In your case they have to be satisfied that your wife actually planing to go to Canada with you , so that "letter of resignation" doesn`t have to be in like two weeks notice. If your wife can make an agreement with her boss, explain to him what is going on and they together can make a "intention to resign" letter in which would be stated that she will stay at her work until your visa is approved. Also it would help if you can prove that you are looking for apartment in Canada or that she is looking for job in Canada.

Thanks for your advice, Lucky Rain! Let's cross our fingers and see what will happen after we have submitted the required documents.

Hello everybody,

This is my first time to post here. I submitted my application to CPC-M in October. I received a letter that my application has be transferred to Pretoria, South Africa on January 4, 2012. They haven't contact me ever since. I haven't submitted my Medicals and Police clearance. My question is do I have to wait for them to contact me or I can take it to the embassy myself? And please is there any other person here who is applying in South Africa?

Thank you guys for you assistance.

Welcome Josephs , I believe they should contact you and ask for additional papers, but I believe that you can send them and they are supposed to put that in your file, but to be able to do that you should have your file no. which they give you when they first contact you. hm .... Maybe you can try calling them firs and explain....

Mark_in Canada , we really hope so, but i think there will be no need for an interview It is written on the Beijing office website under FAQ that if someone has an application there and they have requested the passport , the application is close to finalisation , just to say that if you have sent your passport ,unless it is urgent , don't request it back ......wait until you get the visa....... inshallah .My wife is in Jinan city Shandong Province , 2 hours fast train South of Beijing. Your wife PPR will be next !
Fingers crossed

Good luck to us!
