GuateVision83 said:Hey Octoberians,
Again my apologies for no updates. I've been busy getting my family settled in and going back to work. Well FINALLY my family landed @ Pearson Int Airport on Feb 2nd @ around 11:30pm. I was with them every step of the way.
I filled the declaration form for a family of 4 and got to immigration Luckly there was no people. Approched the frist officer who asked what country we were arriving from. He then told us to the next immigration office.
Again there was no one in line. I handed the officer their passports and CORPs. He asked me to tell my wife to have a seat since she was holding our baby daughter. The officer asked me to verifiy the information on the CORPs. I signed for both my step son and daughters.
The officer then asked me to verify my wifes info. He proceed to ask me if she had any issues with the law then chuckled and said I bet she doesn't but its proceedure to ask. Then he asked about the funds or if she had anything over $10000. I said no funds at all, no problem there. The officer then asked about goods to follow but told him none but advised later about no being taxed on any goods to follow there after.
The officer then told me that they wouldn't be eligible for OHIP until 90 days and advised it would be a good idea to have some insurence until then. The officer also advised my wife can apply for a SIN right away.
The officer then asked my wife to proceed and sign her landing papers. He talked to her in spanish and told her not to be nervous. She signed he said welcome to Canada and to proceed to get her luggage.
We got our luggage and cleared customs.
Overall he told us we arrived at a good day and time. He said other times people are waiting in line for 2 hrs. It was a smooth process maybe took 15-20 min tops. The officer was very friendly we even chatted about the superbowl. ( Yay Giants)
I'm typing from my blackberry so I can't see the speardsheet. I hope to see more pprs and hofully more people landed. God bless u all and good luck. Congrats to everyone who is moving along on this journey I hope to post tomorrow moring

Hi Amy612, no we haven't received anything from singapore yet. My wife keeps checking her email everyday. Sponsored address appeared in early Jan., then disappeared a couple weeks ago. Ecas still shows that application was received on the same date it was received in CPC-M. plus medical results have been received. That's all! I just ordered CAIPS, hoping to see if there is any useful information. We are also in the process of sending in additional supporting documents (all the stuff we have collected since filing the application). From reading the forum, I think the quickest time for Singapore was 4-6months, from the transfer date. We still have a long time to go....Amy612 said:I am just wondering about your case.
