Do not believe every word the call center people tell you. Call several times and you will get different answers. They are very nice and professional, but at times will just say 2 keywords, "just wait".

What is sure is that your calls are recorded, and that every time you make an unnecessary follow up, your file is moved to the end of the cue in processing. The new date/timeline is automatically computer generated (they just have to answer yes or no to confirm the change...they have different heart colors), so that even if they are done with you, there will be no official release of results until such date.

The rule on follow-up is clear on the website, and oftentimes mentioned in their letters. But if the reason for calling is very valid and urgent, it will surely help.

Wow i really hope!!! thanks so much. I just don't understand why the mail is taking forever to arrive. My husband lives in Vancouver. It shouldn't take more than 7 days i think from Ontario.

It can take very long believe it or not. I have mailed stuff from toronto to whitby (one hour away) and it has taken a week. So, do not worry, you will get it sooner than you think. To be better, phone them, and tell them you want to know about the decision made. They will let you know. Good luck.

Okay everyone I am tottally freaking out right now :P My wife just got an email requesting passports!!!!

Here it is

FAMILY CLASS APPLICANTS
ALL DOCUMENTS TICKED MUST BE RECEIVED AT VISA OFFICE
IMPORTANT: THIS WILL BE THE ONLY REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
If we do not receive ALL these documents within ninety days (90) from the date of this letter, your application will be assessed based on
the information on file and may be refused.
THERE WILL BE NO FOLLOW-UP TO THIS LETTER

X Valid ORIGINAL passport for yourself and each dependant immigrating to Canada. After the medical examination be done
X A pre-paid airwaybill must be included with your documents

Is this a PPR???

now
question 1. I have submitted the medicals already should I let them know and mail the passports anyway?
question 2. what is a pre-paid airwaybill. Is this like a return envelope so then can send the passports back?

I wish you all the same luck and God Bless.

Oh my god, i am freaking out too!!! i am sooooo happy for you. I am absolutely happy. Did not they ask for police certificates? I am from mexico and they ask for them later in the application. Congratulations.

@ Queen Mason

I actually mailed the police certs/clearances together with the whole app. I made sure to submit the Meds, police certs and, pay the perm resident fee when I mailed my app back in Oct. All they asked for is the passports and airway bill. My wife sent the passports today and the courier service said they should arrive at the VO on Monday.

Lets hope for more PPRs for the rest of us *fingers crossed*

This is sooo exciting !! I just logged into my ecase and it says "Decision Made" :) :) :) :D

I have not received an email or anything yet but, this is what the ecase says:

"We sent you a letter on January 10, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

Does this mean that I'm approved as a sponsor??!

Also under "Permanent Residence Application Status" it says "Medical results have been received. " !!! what does this mean??

that means that they approved you and that your VO already put together your pprs , they will start processing them in a couple of days if they didn`t already , good luck :)
