Well i was really hoping that we would be able to send in our app by the end of October, and now it's the 31st and still no FBI clearance in the mail yet.

gman/biery (or anyone else sending to the buffalo office)--when did you guys submit your prints and how long did it take to get the clearance back? My husband sent his in on Sept 26ish.
He already has his state clearances but just waiting on the FBI one. Do you think that it would be wise to send in the app with just the state clearance and send in the FBI one later when it finally comes? He has never lived outside California for more than 3 months...

I waited for mine for about 10 weeks , and I believe that you can send app. and later on add FBI clearance . Honestly I had more problem getting state clearance (3 different states , 3 different ways ) so I emailed VO and asked do I really need them since I have FBI`s , and they said NO. But that is Vienna Office.

If I wanted to add someone to be able to make changes in spreadsheet I would need email address of that person. Do you want me to add you? Or you can just leave info about changes and I can change it.

i m really stressd today because i was on the cic.gc.ca and i was just checking stuff out and i met my husband online, like we started dating each other online and than we met each other in person and after we got married, we have been dating each other for almost 3 and a half year and we have been married for 1 year. i jst waited to turn 18 and get married with him so that i can spend tym with him.....i m just scared that they dont think that my relationship is fake or something cuz i really miss him and i love him like crazy....

Took around 2 months to get my FBI clearance if I recall. I would not send in without it as it is a required document for your application and sponsored apps state it should be included.

How come the immigration forms just say FBI report and not state? We are in Washington state so does he need one? We are just waiting on his passport to book his medical (it's way cheaper to go to Vancouver) and the FBI to come in so we can send it all in at once.

I'm not really sure if the state clearances are needed or not...There is some conflicting information, but it seems maybe it was a requirement in the past and now only the FBI clearance is needed? We got it anyway just to be on the safe side...

Our dear old friend (NOT) Immigration Minister Kenney wants to increase Federal Skilled Worker intake and DECREASE SPOUSAL INTAKE for 2012!!!! There is another thread about this, but long story short, write your MP and tell them that this is NOT acceptable!

I know I read this , and I can tell you I was so disappointed. This is not fair . There is no simple logic in this. If they have our spouses in Canada working, every normal person would know that they send money overseas to their families who they support. That means less money stays in Canada. Basic Math. I believe he skipped that class in school. :'(

I added new ppl to the spreadsheet , and with all this above I wish to all of us VERY good luck .Just keep it positive.

I think that if they did cut from the spouse and dependent children class, it would be in cases where there is no clear intention of the family to reside in Canada immediately after the visa is granted. It would be unethical to keep families apart. They simply would prefer that the family is united and living and working in Canada, not remaining abroad together.
