Makes sense, i second that.
My experience was the same, the officer didn't care about any translation (i wasted about $150 to get some stamps translated).
It was true for me as well. He never looked at the translation and said he should check with CBSA. I also wasted 130 dollars

I guess that's the price for being extra cautious..even the Translator herself was surprised and asked me "Why do you want to Translate your passport if they (IRCC) specifically didn't ask you to do it?" o_O

Unfortunately I was asked for it. And it was painful to see that my application is delayed for this (since the officer was not in a mood to check the translation) eventhough I paid 130 dollars for translation.

I have gained a lot from this forum so its only logical that i share my experience for others. Took the test on Monday and passed 20/20;. I was really worried about the interview as i had one trip not registered correctly but interview went by in 5 mins and the agent was not even concerned with all my multitude of documents. Just asked for passports, pr card and COPR and in 5 minutes i had the oath letter.

I finished the test in about 7 minutes. Questions i recall are below:

Canadians are majorly Christians true or false
why is Canada's official languages english and french?
How many MP's can represent a constituency?
Secret ballot means you should tell anyone how you voted? true or false
if the sovereign is the head of state in Canada, who is the head of government?
which of theses symbols is on the Canadian coat of arms
which of the following is a legal responsibility of a Canadian citizen
who are the European ancestry that settled int he maritime province in 1604?
which province below represents the west coast?
if you are told of an aboriginal who lives in the artic, he/she is most likely an?

Questions are different for all applicants. My buddy had a different question than mine altogether. Anyway best of luck to you all.

@theskyisblue just wanted to give you a heads up that you are not allowed to share these questions. When i wrote my test CIC strictly instructed that you cannot do this as this information is protected under the personal information privacy act. I think this is why no one on this forum has shared what the questions were. - Congratulations on passing the test!
