Hi,

This question is on my friend's behalf.

He is appyling for citizenship. He has all the required documents except his Birth Certificate. Could anyone tell him if it is wise to submit without the birth certificate?
Thank you in advance!
It's not asked to submit birth certificate !
As far as i remember !

There are only two offices in Canada that deal with FP requests. Vancouver for the west, and St. Clair for the east. Vancouver is your secondary office. Your file will be transferred to your local office after FPs are processed and cleared by RCMP and IRCC.

This is similar to our situation except the family size (1 child).... time line is identical. According to MP, background check finished last week, But still no news from Kitchener office. I will follow-up with MP in three to four weeks if nothing happens

That notice showed up on my Ecas on the 8th, till now no letter in the mail.
Also, I had digital fingerprints 4 months ago for work. Can I reuse for immigration purposes?
IMO, it's best to just do them again and avoid any unnecessary and unexpected delay.

I went to the police station to submit my fingerprints and the officer didn't note my citizenship file number on it. Should I go back and get it redone?

Hi rotest100, what do you mean by Urgent request? Did you contact CIC to expedite your citizenship application? Based on your timeline, from the date of your exam to your oath taking is a little over 7 weeks. A friend had her oath taking in March 6, 7 weeks after her written exam on Jan 15. Im from Edmonton and I took my exam on Feb 16 and up til now my status is still in process. Your timeline shows that status change from IP to DM could happen days before the oath taking.

I had four German stamps and didn’t translate them. The numbers are numbers, English numbers and there’s like an arrow sign for in and out so I thought any dummy would figure it out and it worked. Maybe I got lucky and the officer just didn’t care or maybe because they were acceptable because the numbers are in English, who knows...

This is just my experience...not necessarily the same for everybody.
Makes sense, i second that.
My experience was the same, the officer didn't care about any translation (i wasted about $150 to get some stamps translated).
