Had my test this morning in the Mississauga office. Test was straightforward and I scored a 20/20.

Something interesting happened after the interview though. The officer told me verbally that he is approving my application and will be giving me my oath letter on the spot!!! So, I got my oath letter and my oath is scheduled on March 28.

ECAS still shows In Process but I assume it will change to Decision Made soon.

I had a vacation planned for which I was supposed to fly out 2 nights ago. I am so glad that I postponed & cut my trip short.

Please update the spreadsheet. Thank you and good luck everyone else!

That's incredible! Congrats!

That's a very nice officer who hands Oath letter on the spot! We need some of those in Scarborough :(

Congrats. how hard was the test? Do the questions @ http://citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz cover most of it?
This was one of the sites I used and had more practical questions compared to some of the crazy difficult ones on some other sites. There were no questions about dates. A lot of them were common sense and if you read the book, the rest were easy as well.

Is there anyone from ottawa who got test invite after getting IP after 20th January. looks like Ottawa office is halted now... :(

I agree. According to the spreadsheet Ottawa office issued 28 test invites in January, but only two in February. There is not much going on for October applicants since January 24th.

Office has issued few In Process for November and December applicants in February, but not much more than that.

Updated. No, oath won't be on the same day. You will get a special invite for it, after status changes to DM. For scarborough wait times from DM to Oath are very long. Expect 4-6 months unless there are some cancellations and you get lucky.

guys if you change your address, does that mean your process will be longer as you will be moved back to the end of 'the line' in that local office or what?

Wondering why it would take them so long, i would think Oath is the simplest part of the process ...all it takes is to fix a date to bring a bunch of people in a room..how complex is that.

It's not complex. They likely don't have a citizenship judge available full-time for ceremonies, and a lot of applicants are already back-logged. They can fix it, but they just don't.

Yea, makes sense...probably not a priority for them.

If all goes well, meaning no flight/airport delays, then you should easily be able to make it for the test. I guess my suggestion would be to keep checking your return flight status and weather conditions in Canada several days before your flight. If there is a slightest hint of delays, pre-pone it if possible.
I thought you are in newmarket. how come changed into scarborough?
