Hi,

I submitted my application on Oct 22, got AOR on Nov 24, 2017 and In-Process since Dec 29, and I have applied from Etobicoke. Any idea, why my application or my batch's application is stuck and others are receiving path request as-well? Should I start start to worry now :(

its two business days as per cic’s official video on oath ceremony on youtube.
but its a hit or miss. some people have gone the next business day and thier oath certificate number shows up in the passport canada database.
give it a try and if not wait for 2 business days, no other option i guess

Yah I’m in the same boat, IP Jan 3rd, nothin since then. Also applied from the GTA - I’m assuming those offices have way higher volumes so we’re gonna be later than everybody else.

Mines been stuck in processing, since they asked for Fingerprints on the 30th of JAn.
Requested GCMS notes over a month ago, even that hasnt come yet.

Pain in the ass, but i guess all we can do is wait.

Hi guys,

Just came back from the Oath an hour ago, thought I'd give you an update.

The ceremony for us was held at Surrey office, BC. at 8:30 AM. 58 people, 17 countries. Our judge was super awesome. Very very kind and some of his words was truly moving. The whole process didn't even take an hour. It started at 8:50 and finished at 9:40, so for those of you that think it will take longer and you need to buy a parking ticket for the whole day (cause there is no option after 1 hour and 2 hours), I recommend you get the 2 hours slot, and don't waste your money as I did. At least at Surrey office. They will include a large font piece of paper with your invitation letter asking you to pay for your parking.

At the counter before the ceremony they only asked for PR card, Landing paper & invitation paper (signed). I didn't have my landing paper, but they didn't give me a hard time, they took my PR and told me if I have lost my landing paper I need to apply for a new one later on. I have it at home. But make sure you take it with you. Not sure how I forgot to take it. But it's all good.

All to all it was a really pleasant and smooth ceremony. So many happy people and so many good vibes.

Lastly I want to thank each and every one of you through out these years for your kind guidelines at this forum and your active participation. I wish you all a happy ceremony and hope we can build our new home for even a better place for the next generations to come.

Proud to be a Canadian and grateful to have you all by my side. It's been 5 years since I first signed up on this forum. Will stick around as much as possible to answer queries for PR and Citizenship peeps.

All the best,

It's too bad they can't just punch a hole in the PR card and disable it rather than confiscating it. My son would like to keep his as a souvenir... lol

,

There is free 2 hour street parking across the road on 98A Ave, plus the office building is right next to the King George SkyTrain station. There is also full day parking for only $5 at Holland Park. There is also an Impark parking lot just behind the building.

A friend of mine told me I can ask them to keep the PR Card, but I didn't bother. So you can ask. :)

Yeah I saw the free spots across the street, but I wasn't familiar with the area so I didn't risk it. I went for Impark.
