Just want to share my experience. It's not really a reapplication but an amendment. You may choose to amend instead of reapplying depending on what kind of mistake it is.
I sent my application back in Oct 16 under the new rule with nothing missing. however, 2 days after, I noticed that I forgot to add the time I lived in the U.S and incorrectly answered the question 11. I called CIC and was advised to either withdraw then reapply or just complete the form again with correct answers, send it including only the receipt (as this is not a whole new application, it's only an amendment) and an explanation letter. Of course I chose the latter as withdrawal may take even longer plus it's a hassle to reapply. Also, the agent did mention that my application would not be refused due to those mistakes. so I sent a new form with correct answers, the receipt and an explanation letter indicating which questions I amended 4 days after. I got the AOR in December and now I'm studying for my citizenship test in March.
NOTE: I haven't got any notification regarding to the second form thus far. I believe that's the local office job to look at the amended form. The first stage is to confirm whether you have all the required docs to send you an AOR.
