I noticed the instruction advising not to BIND documents together,
but I did bind each form separately IMM008, etc.. just so it's easier to see which form is which(1 bind for IMM0008, 1 bind for others, etc..) in case somebody dropped it for some reason(so it doesn't scattered all over the place).. that's just the way that I think.. :s crap... oh well.. :(

anyway.. regarding the instruction I found it on the application guide (Specific instruction for applying CEC),

- Go to Step 2. Complete the application
- Go to the guide for Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008), and then
- scroll at the very end of this section (Consent and Declaration of Applicant).

#4. Place the barcode page(s) on the top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you submit it.

toby right no need to bind you have to put check list first and other document according to checklist.

oh well, it's really an honest mistake :s,
my intention was just so the person can go through the forms easily without any hustle/problem..

but anyhow, yes I did put the checklist on top, self-address mailing labels, and then the rest of the documents according to the checklist.
So excited! :)

They asked to put the barcode on top, then checklist, then rest of the application.

When they open your package, they scan the barcode to enter everything in to the computer.

But this is not an issue if you didn't arrange the papers.

Hello All,
Just sent my application yesterday. Added my details in tracker. Lets hope CIO works at lighting speed after strike & we all get PR soon. All the best.
Thanks, Gaurav

In the matter of the barcode page, I just checked with July applicants who've
already received the AOR:

BTW, Samir, How about your application? When are u sending?

Hey Samir... can you also include the column as "applied from- Country" in the excel, as may be some others have applied outside of Canada like me (From India), so that we may track and touch base accordingly.. (Just an advice :) )

I have submitted my application on Oct 08, 2013. I have one question here,
I have also submitted to SINP under the post graduation stream(Saskatchewan students) category in September. As I know, I can withdraw one application. But my question here, if I withdraw CEC application, then what happen to my fees 550$? is they will use it for SINP application, once I send that to federal or I have to pay another 550$ to federal, when they going to process the SINP application?

If you get AOR from your CEC application, most likely that $550 is used. And you will not get any money back.
This $550 is application fee, that means you pay CIC just to take a look at your application.
Approval/Denial either way you have to pay it.

I feel you should just bite the bullet, and keep enough money for all of your applications.

It is always good to have PR applied early. At the time of completion of your WP you can apply BOWP and you will get longer stay.
