Can you check the status on OCI website: https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury
See if it shows any records and acknowledgement date ?
Usually it takes about 20 days from the date of when BLS starts processing the application

On that link it says "No such record found"

However, it has been showing up on the BLS tracking page: https://www.blsindia-canada.com/toronto-jurisdiction/track-application.php

Last week it said it was at the Consulate. This week it's telling me Incomplete/Incorrect Data.

In my case it shows Toronto received date is not updated.

Dispatched MEA 30 May. Yes no update on BLS, it may take at least 10 days.

Just FYI for all others applying for OCI, if you or your kid is wearing hoodie shirt for photo, that will be rejected even though hoodie is not on the head
In my case, I was asked to get new photos for my kid at BLS...

Finally submitted 2 OCI applications at BLS, Mississauga on 30-May. Horrible day due to many appointments, looks like previous days appointments (due to server down) accommodated today.

1 OCI application accepted without any issue for 2nd one, my wife occupation was mentioned as "Professional" and address mentioned as "Unemployed" as per BLS Unemployed can't be Professional and lied saying you must select "Unemployed" for occupation but that option itself not available in dropdown. finally to get rid of this we accepted new form creation (Occupation: Professional, Address: Previous employer address) and courier services with $100 charges.

NOTE: If you ask for pick up they will deny but if you insist then unhappily will give option for pickup. They are trying to sell $100 services whoever has mistake and you can't just go for simple correction because they can't provide receipt for it but for correction + courier buddle together for which they can provide receipt.

It will show up on the OCI web site when it is acknowledged , which is likely to be from 6 to 8 days from application submission for the Toronto jurisdiction based on recent examples.

How about taking a step back … and after taking a deeeep breath….and making one’s mind to not pay a single hard earned cent for the BLS self set guidelines and cherry picked findings/mistakes they find on our application forms?

I totally get it that we have to be 100% accurate for the details that we provide on the OCI and other passport applications submitted to BLS…..but cmon man….i mean if BLS is sitting there with magnifying glass just to spot a extra punctuation mark on the form…..for just to sell their $100 additional services ….how fair is that?

as an applicant….i would politely refuse to pay for their ideal and fantasy world way of filling the application form…. And come back another day by correcting the details myself on the forms and taking a printout of the application form again…which would cost me how much?? May be some cents at a Canadian public library…..only once we as applicants….stop giving in to the unnecessary and non-sensical pressure BLS exert….while finding the non-practical errors on the application forms…and stop paying for their so called $100 services….they will start to think twice before asking any person for this additional money…they get this courage…because we give in to the presssure….its not about $100….its about what’s fair and what’s not.

India is a global leader in IT services industry…world class software engineers…are from India…yet it’s an irony…that the user experience of the OCI application website and forms….is not up to the mark….leave aside the front end …but at least they should design application form questions in such a way…that even an average user can use it with ease….and the options provided to the users of the online application forms should be at least user friendly and consistent….giving less spots for chance of errors….and later so called BLS correction fee of 100 dollars.

To confirm, this $100 was like the Lounge Service correct? And I am guessing it would include the courier charges as that is what they can provide the receipt for indirectly?

This is also a silly mistake selecting Professional and then mentioning address as Unemployed.

That's why I keep reiterating, Double-Triple Check the OCI application, and if possible try and create 2(or even 3 if required) applications to cover yourself for scenario like Marriage Date vs Marriage Registration Date, etc
Try and include all details marked with asterisk* or not e.g. if you are married you should include your spouse information even if its not mandatory.
