I am about to send the new OCI application through the postal service (after I found that they have increased the fees for the application and I did not notice it). Does anyone know if I have to contact them to get the link for purolator? The link on the website does not seem to be working.

Can you share the email address? My minor son’s application has been “Pending” for over 3 weeks by BLS Surrey. I’m hoping someone higher up can look into it.

The mail ID is-

But they can only help once the application arrives from BLS Surrey. If application is with BLS Surrey my suggestion is to call and ask them directly.

But till now it has not received in Toronto

Based on timelines from other applicants, you most likely see update on Toronto received date on after 10th Apr and it takes about a week to receive your OCI. I recommend you to apply e-visa for safer side.

Yes you need to contact BLS to book courier

Just updating my timeline here:

Submitted In person BLS Toronto - February 10th
Acknowledgment on the OCI site - February 27th
Processed on OCI Site - March 19th
Dispatched from Delhi - March 20th
Arrived Toronto - April 2nd
Received the OCI Card In hand from BLS - April 5th.

I do have one question, I see that OCI card has my canadain address. So if in future I move to a new address, do I have to update this information somewhere or it does not matter if my address changes in the future?

no.. you can let it be until you get a new passport after you are 50 years of age.. even then, you just need to update the new passport details in the web. OCI is not address proof!

I have a question regarding regaining Indian citizenship in the future. Can a person’s parent apply for their kid’s citizenship again in future, given if the kid was born in India, later acquired Canadian citizenship and OCI. I know oci can live in india for 5 years and apply for citizenship by themselves. But can person’s parent apply for child’s citizenship earlier, based on their relationship and given they are still alive at the time of applications?

so far as I know, you can stay in India for as long as you can.. not just 5 years. 5 years is a timeline that you have to spend with OCI out of which if you have to stay in India for 1.5 years to apply for Indian citizenship. So, yes, you can apply for your child's Indian citizenship.
