Hi all,
Just got an update on BLS tracking website.
Date of Ack : Oct 10th
Processed: Nov 1st
Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping : Nov 2nd.
I have my flight on Monday and I have chosen the option to pick the OCI myself (Not courier) Can i go and collect tomorrow even if the BLS site doesnt say Ready for Pick up, It will be the last day as Saturdays there is no option for collection. What are my chances of getting it tom?

Done.
The consulate genie says the wait will be over tomorrow. Then we'll put you on wait again for 3 weeks. Heartless guys.

It took daily emails to the consulate, lot of prayers, and faith Hope it happens to you too.

when i wrote to consulate this afternoon, this is the response I got. I am not sure if @RuchiWalia had different response. I guess in this case they may not appreciate everyday emails...

Processing of OCI card application follows mandatory steps and cannot be interfered with. There is no emergency service available for OCI. The OCI card will be issued to you once all the process are complete at our end.

It may please be noted that these days processing time for OCI applications is minimum 8 weeks from the date it is registered at Consulate.

Your applications reached Consulate and registered on 4/10/23. .

However, you may apply for visa if travel is urgent.

Good chance if you persist and insist and don't let security turn you away with some nonsense etc. It seems Brampton is better at handling this may be because they normally allow pickup. Which office?
Going by data I have, they are very likely to dispatch tomorrow so you'll have to intercept before that happens -- probably today was the best day to try pickup or at least ask them to hold it. (ignore that as you have opted for pickup)

Then we are all in the same boat, we have tried everything But BLS line up in Edmonton is HUUUGE.. I went in around 4:30 am and there were 100 ppl ahead already. So not sure where we can plan visas.

I got my visa and passport finally. Applied on Oct. 26 in Vancouver. I do get this post is for OCI but not sure.

I missed that you have already opted for pickup (means Brampton). Definitely go tomorrow even if the status doesn't change. Show your tickets and ask them to look for it even in case its not yet sorted for collection.

Not trying to scare you, but have to tell you that (since I collected both SC and OCIs from BLS center (Brampton)) when you go and collect they ask for the payment receipt along with ID proof..
I do not know (or anybody will be aware), what happens if you do not have the receipt

I applied through an agent and opted for pickup at BLS Brampton… and hence no receipt as well. Let me check with the agent… will update here.. my guess is your CANT application number and ID proof is sufficient…

Not sure but what if you get visa before OCI and already went to India and got OCI when you are in India?

this happened to me,, many years ago when I applied for OCI and a week before my travel it had still not arrived by post so applied for e-visa. In India … immigration, the officer saw that my OCI was updated in the system and said he didn’t even want to see my e-visa and stamped my Canadian passport in …. So OCI takes precedence

My visa is processed but waiting on passport status to pick up same.. Went to BLS yesterday and today but again no help and they just said keep checking
