Can anyone can suggest me should I have to apply for entry visa as still waiting for OCI card. I applied through Vancouver location. Inside lady’s said we don’t know the processing time of entry visa but on the website showes 30-45days. Can anyone update the timeline if applied through Vancouver? Please!!

I don’t know why BLS staff can’t all give universal advice

Yes there will always be first mover advantage and it will be great if they continue with the same speed for all.

do they keep passport for visa stamp or separate paper visa issued ? minor doesn't require biometrics right? i am planning to apply for 6 months entry visa.

Where it asks for duration of visa in months what can we say? I just said 3 months. I don’t trust BLS ladies they can reject your form for any lame reason

Depends on your Ack date for OCI and travel date. If not in a hurry, wait for OCI. Entry visa won't take 30 days -- more like a week + courier/pickup time. Those who applied on 26th were reporting much faster turn around.

I applied on the 26th, walk-in, and the status states “Your visa is processed is Granted but Not-Printed. Once visa is printed,please contact the respective office on next working day where you have submitted your Application.”

did you selected pick up option? is it ready for you to pickup or processed and printed status?

My minor OCI acknowledged date is September 30 . Vancouver (Bls surely) and my travel date is October 10 . I should wait for Oci or apply for entrt visa

In my minor case, they did not ask for biometrics. I also had to submit original canadian passport of minor, to BLS for visa stamping.

OCI received the date of acknowledgement 23 September
Registration mission - Vancouver
Document printing status processed on 26 Oct
Dispatched from MEA (OCI) New Delhi on 26 Oct
Document Received at Vancouver on 26 October.


Any idea when to expect it by post ??
