Hello folks,
We are Indian Citizens, but new born here in Canada this year July.
I have applied for her OCI recently.
Application date on BLS website - 11 OCT 2023
Status on BLS website - Processing at Consulate General
Status on OCI Website - Under Process.
I have to travel to India end of November but scared to book tickets in case I dont get OCI in time.
Does it look good to recieve in time?
Alternatively, for minor alone, is there any visa on arrival or something in India

@fshaik I am expecting my OCI status to show as "Processed" on 26th Oct 2023. Just wanted to check with you if BLS allowed you to pick it up from their center (even when you paid for courier). My travel date is Nov 1 and I am hoping they will allow me to pick it up instead of me waiting for courier.
Any particular time of the day I should go to BLS for pickup or any pre-requisite before I go there? You response will be very helpful in understanding the process.

Consider mid Dec as a safer travel date
OCI process takes between 6-8 weeks (more towards 8 weeks now)

i was hoping MINORs can be faster as there dont really need any check (like police check) in India..

Pickup is only between 3:00 - 4:30pm between Mon-Fri
Go with your receipt and a ID proof (DL etc)
Please get it confirmed with BLS first if they will be ok for you to pick it up

Even in our case our minor's OCI took about 8 weeks to process as well

Hi Abbas Pasha, Can you please provide your minor OCI application timelines so i can get an idea? I have also applied for my minor child on Oct 18 2023, walk in BLS Brampton. Also, in your case, was it just 1 minor app or was it along with other family members application?
BLS sent back my application with the reason "PLEASE UPLOAD PICTURE IN CORRECT FORMAT TAKING SHOULDERS INTO THE FRAME. " I guess I pissed them off by following up on the status of my application as to why it was not updated in their tracker even after 15 days
