check the status on OCI website. It should provide you details i.e. Acknowledgement, OCI#, OCI printed and dispatch(New Delhi to Canada) dates

It took 10 days (after in-person submission) for my application to go from no record to under process.
Once it shows as under process, it will take another 3-4 weeks for it to get updated.
Just got an update for my application submitted in-person at BLS Toronto on July 21 and acknowledged on July 31.
