I understand that I will not be getting my Passport back after submitting it for Surrender Certificate. So, do I need to scan every page of it before sending?
And, I will be needed to have only 1 photo to be pasted on the application generated on the passport seva site.
Is this correct?
If you are surrendering in India you don't get it back. In Canada you do get it back.

Where do you see the requirements for scanning all pages?

I thought I wont get it back, so I thought to have it scanned for my future references.
Glad to know that I will get it back.
Just got mine back on Friday. They punch holes through the machine readable section and stamp the first and last page with a cancellation stamp. It will be returned to you. They also staple the surrender certificate to the back cover page.
on the OCI checklist, it does ask you for the canceled Indian passport (original and copy) if you are submitting proof of Indian origin as self.

Thanks!
So, they will take passport in OCI process and not return it. Is that correct?

Also, I am in Montreal, so my jurisdiction will be Ottawa, is that correct?
TY

Hi, I am going to apply OCI with root Indian as ‘self’. - Do i need to attach copy of spouse passport too?

- As My spouse name is already mentioned in my passport. Do i still need to attach marriage certificate too?

Office where my oci will be processed is Ottawa. Thanks
