It can take upto 3-4 weeks from the date you submitted the application to receive the passports back.

For my family members, I uploaded the old copies (without cancelled seal) and their OCI got approved.

From my experience with others, it seems they follow the exact same pattern. Mine changed to "Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping..!!" on February 3rd. I paid for shipping when I applied and received it today. So 6 days from that status change.

Of course, the BLS website provided no indication that the OCI booklet had been shipped out to me. Thankfully I was working from home and was able to accept it.

I'm traveling mid_March so not sure if I will get the OCI then. More importantly, I haven't yet received my Canadian passport and citizenship certificate back. Plan B was to apply for an e-visa first week of March. Any suggestions on the timeline to get Canadian passport back via mail? I had pre-paid for the Purolator service but I reckon that is for the OCI delivery.

You should be getting back your passport anytime in 2-3days. Check BLS website and you will find a Purolator tracking number. As per TimeLine of the other members, You should have your OCI by end of feb or first week of March

Thanks @Daya1 , just checked BLS tracking and it says OCI originals dispatched and have given a purolator tracking number. Although I wonder if my pre-paid courier fees includes 2 services - getting the originals back and then the OCI card?

I believe they charge around $25 per single courier service. If they have charged 2X $25 around $50; that means you will OCI by courier as well,
 
Hi, I have a weird situation, my husband’s Indian passport had his village as birth place but on the Canadian passport nearest city name was given , as the place of birth are different on passports, BLS has not accepted his OCI application and asked us to get affidavit that the passports are of the same person. Does anyone had come across such situation, can someone suggest how I can get this done.
