I submitted OCI yestreday and I left out IND from place of brith as you are already mentioning country of birth in the OCI form. It was accepted by BLS.

I Submitted my OCI application at BLS Brampton on 31st March 2022. The status in BLS website still shows processing at consulate general. Any Idea on how much time does it take for process to complete?
Also i was trying to check my status through https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury but when i entering the details it shows no such file number present. Is anyone else facing similar issue.

Not sure the lady at the counter highlighted my pr category. Not factual but an anecdotal quote on something along the lines of refugee in Canada of Indian origin may not be able receive OCI. Like I said I am not privy to those facts
- In case of applications of Canadian nationals for registration as OCI cardholder, following documents should also be submitted:-
- Landing paper/ Work Permit of applicant/ sponsor
- If landing paper at Column 19 shows FC (Family Class), then-
- Letter from Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board
- A notarized affidavit pleading that neither the applicant nor the sponsor has sought Refugee status in Canada
- Last Canadian address
- Last Canadian Visa copy

Same here.. I submitted OCI application for my child on 30th March.. Maybe we should see update in a week or so.. Also, I submitted birth certificate original which I havent got back yet.. They told I will get back the original in 2-3 weeks..
Submitted my applications on April 2nd and nothing as yet. Probably see an update in a week or so.

OCI enquiry- No records found
So it takes on average 2 to 3 weeks from the date of submission to get date of acknowledgement from CGI, with public holidays both in India and Canada you should expect another week. As for originals , you will receive once it get acknowledged.
From the date of acknowledgment it is 4 weeks to get processed in Delhi then give 2 weeks to be received in Ottawa.
( this is based on past 3 months experience - might take long now)

But they are allowing walkin now which is more time consuming.
I am still waiting for my SC from BLS Ottawa which is showing as printed on the passportseva for the past 1 week. I have an immediate need to travel to US and will be gone for a month. Anyone has any idea if we can redirect the shipping to some other address and can someone else with a different name collect the package ?. Appreciate any response on this
