The only issue is the exit immigration in India. If you are able to get thru the next part should be smooth.
Yeah, that's the big IF. I don't know who can answer that question with 100% certainty. Maybe someone who works at consulate. But then, I don't know how to connect with someone at consulate.

Are you sure it's original? I was about to send self-attested copies.
Postal applications do not need originals. Got my wife's OCI using postal application without sending originals. And someone in the thread has mentioned they checked with BLS on September 19th,2023 and they confirmed originals are not needed.

This is as per their Ottawa checklist asking for originals and copies.
but someone said it’s not needed.
So None of the original is required?
Self attested means, signed, is that correct?

Well, I think its pretty clear now... ONLY Consular services for Indian citizens are available and unaffected..
All services for Canadian citizens - Visas, OCI, Passport surrender looks like suspended..
Alas..
That's not accurate. Only Visa services are suspended for Canadian Citizen's. I just now received an update on my OCI application.

Just going by the language in the post, if processes like OCI, surrender certificate are not name-called out.. seems likely they aren't being processed... maybe you were one of the lucky ones

there's an etc. at the end of their statement.
It's not only me, I have seen other people on this group getting their OCI updates and dispatched from New Delhi office. In addition, the BLS is also accepting the OCI application.

The optimistic in says - the tweet refers to services for Indian Nationals. OCI is not a service for Indian Nationals - so tweet doesn't indicate either way.

Where there is an etc. there is also a statement in the beginning mentioning "Indian nationals" and we aren't Indian nationals anymore... I really hope you are right and no one gets affected adversely regarding processing of their OCI/Surrender processes... Its a wait and a half and then some more :)
