Hi All,

Please find my timelines

1) Purolator pick up : June 9th 2023
2) Application delivered to BLS Brampton :- June 12, 2023
3) Received confirmation mail from BLS and was able to track application on BLS portal :- June 13th 2023.
4) Status changed on BSL portal to :- Under processing :- June 14th 2023.
5) Status changed on BSL portal to :- Processing at CGI :- June 15th 2023.

Not able to track application on https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury.

@abbas.pasha bhai approximately when I will be able to track application on https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury ?

Quick pointers :-
1) I made one draft for BLS (for 3 applications which I send together ) and one for CGI. We can save draft fees .
2) When we call BSL to generate Purolator pickup label , as usual BLS will try to cheat and apply 2 CAD connivance fee and 15 CAD photo fees without informing. Make sure you ask clearly to charge only Pickup fees. Incase they charge connivance and photo fees call BSL again and you can get reverted.

During the time I submitted the OCI in December it used to take 20 odd days for acknowledgment and information to be reflected on the OCI website
But now I heard it take/ much shorter time.. just wait it out until the end of the week worst case and hopefully by then OCI website should have the acknowledgment reflected

Yes looks its very quick now days . I am able to track application on https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury.

Check every morning 8am to 10am, they open fresh appointments for that particular day

We are talking about appointment to submit application not issues with filling application.

In the OCI sample form, it is mentioned that "Uploaded Document Details 1) CURRENT PASSPORT 2) PREVIOUS INDIAN PASSPORT OF SELFf"

My quesetions are 1) Above doucments have to be self attested and then scan it and then we should upload?
2) "Current passport" meaning the Canada passort ? If yes, only first page (with photo) has to be uploaded or entire passport?
3) Previous India passport of self : Is that latest Indian passpport that we surrendered? If Yes, which all pages are required to be uploaded?

Further, In my Indian surrendered passport : Place of Birth is " AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT"
While in Canada Passport: Place of Birth is " AHMEDABAD IND"
In above case, do I need the notarized affidavit as mentioned in the Sample form? Please suggest.

I did not attest them. I received my OCI last week

Yes, the first page is sufficient

I submitted the copy surrendered Indian passport. The pages with the personal information alone was submitted

Don’t self attested supporting document which have to be uploaded, only supporting documents which you submit to BLS need to be self attested

No. You need surrender certificate for OCI.
