How long it will take to get back the Cancelled passport and surrender certificate from Toronto Consulate,

I applied for surrender and OCI together on 15-September from BLS Brampton.
Passport Tracking shows still under processing.

Anybody got their passport back with similar timeline ?

A4 paper measures in at 210mm by 297mm (8.26" by 11.69") whereas LETTER paper measures at 8.5" by 11" (215.9mm by 279.4mm).
Letter is the most popular paper size in US/Canada, Where in India A4 paper is commonly used.

Mostly what you have is LETTER size check , If you don't have LETTER size, buy from staples for $5-$7 for 500 sheets.

I used LETTER size sheet for OCI document copies in Toronto jurisdiction, No issues,
docs accepted at BLS Brampton, Acknowledgement received.

The Landing paper I have is of legal size.In your case too it should be of Legal size.
Did you take a photocopy of Landing paper on a Legal size sheet OR on a Letter size sheet ?
If you took it on legal size sheet , did they accept your application ?

You can either scan it in to a letter size first then take prints from scanned copy, that was I did or take photocopy from original
in legal sheet then fold to letter size.
I saw one guy folding like that in my nearby counter in bls Brampton.

I took a photo and printed photo onto the required size.

In case of a Minor child, I have read somewhere that the OCI process also asks for a Parent consent certificate.
Has anyone filled this form?
Where is this form available ?I see different formats of form on internet.
Can someone please let me know the url ...
Also, is there a photo requirement for the consent form?Someone told me that a joint photo of both parents is required.
Has someone done this ?

I think what you are referring to is NOC/Declaration letter from parents. Here is the link:

You can’t apply oci without surrendering Indian passport .

You can make application for both together. Both are independent process. Both application will run side by side.

You can’t apply oci without surrendering Indian passport .

Thats not correct. You actually can.

BLS Status : Still showing Processing at Consulate General.

Hope every one get soon.

I applied for oci for my child on september 6th 2018. When i track my application it says "processing at consulate general."
How long does it to take to get the oci?..
Like as u found out, is there another way to know the status?

For Vancouver, the status only updates when processing is complete so you will have to wait the full processing time, however long that is. The surrey staff told me 1-2 months
