Thank you so much i was thinking same way but I called BLS Surrey she told me over the phone it's dual citizenship,I ask her for five or ten year entry visa than reply india no longer giving ten or five years visa anymore only maximum one year.she suggested to me apply for surrendering Indian passport and one year tourist visa same time apply for OCI.
Do you think she advised me right think to do because I am traveling to India in September first week.

You'r welcome GZB actually OCI is not dual citizenship but it resembles like dual citizenship and even legally if we read the full form of OCI it is overseas citizen of India what is the meaning simply An Indian leaving abroad.It requires a healthy debate my dear.

I have applied for OCI on Aug 14 ( Vancouver jurisdiction ) and I have booked a flight for Dec 15 , do you think I have enough time ? would I get OCI before Dec 15th ? What is the current processing time to get OCI ( Vancouver ) ?

Of-course you will get much before Dec 15 if everything goes as usual. In majority cases the applicant receive the OCI card within 2 months time.
So don't worry you will get in time all the best dpatel08.

Once the originals are sent back by BLS, check the OCI site - http://passport.gov.in/oci
that will show the status till the documents are back at the consulate. After that the BLS site will again show the status of dispatch back to you...
