Hi, I am assuming you did not have to submit the original documents in mail application, just the copies? How about Canadian passport for U sticker? Did you submit passport along with the application? Thanks

Thank you so much Sir for clarifying this doubt. Really appreciate it.

I will be sending postal application for my minor child. I got the Money order done through Canada post but it mention "Consulate General of India". Missing out Toronto at the end. Canada post told me that due to word limit they cannot type Toronto. Then I called BLS and they are telling me it wont be accepted. Anyone else faced same issue from Canada Post regarding not able to fit the complete name on money order?

I used a bank draft from TD bank and they printed the correct name on it.

Thanks for your reply so I wasted $15 with Canada post as they won't refund me issue fee for BLS & Consulate check but I cashed them both. Went to RBC & got "Consultate General of India, Toronto" printed for Consulate draft but for BLS check they were out of space for Inc so I asked them to shorten Int for International and typed "BLS Int Services Canada Inc.". Hope BLS accept it.

Another question now for COPR scan. My scanner wont scan COPR as the size is not fitting within A4. Can I just use camscanner? Hope no issue with using Camscanner for Consultate documents? Anyone?

Is the OCI registration site, down? Getting message-"
The specified URL is inaccessible at this time. Please try after some time

As long as you scan the full document and the text on it is clear, doesn't matter how you scan it.
Thanks, I was just concerned about having the "Cam Scanner" written on the document but got another app adobe scan which does not show the app name on scan. Scan is also clear.

Still nothing for me for Surrender certificate. The status still says "Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate". Also, there still isn't any record on https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury for OCI either - it says "No record". I guess I'll see the entry on the OCI website only after surrender application says "Granted" on the Passport Seva website.

Did anyone who applied recently get any updates about your surrender application being "granted"?

Give some time, its only 1 week. I got my status update after 2 weeks. My surrender is ready for collection since Sep 4. I am waiting for OCI to process so I can pick both up in same visit.

For my child's OCI walkin submitted on 27th August, BLS status says Processing at consulate general but on the OCI enquiry page I still get no record found even though it has been over 2 weeks now (17 days to be precise). Is that normal? How soon does status start reflecting on OCI enquiry page?
