Today I saw my OCI status changed to OBJECTION
Absolutely no idea what went wrong in 24 hours. Yesterday morning I received an email to upload documents to confirm my employment status is still unemployed. They asked for educational qualifications, previous job history and confirmation I have not served in any armed forces or intelligence agencies.
So later in the evening I uploaded my masters degree, a self declaration that I was still unemployed and work contract basis and waiting for my next contract. I uploaded my deal memo of my previous job from August 2024. I explained in my self declaration that job ended in April 2025. I also included a letter from my union.
I later uploaded another self declaration that I never worked or was a member of any armed forces, paramilitary, security or intelligence organization. All these documents were sent as pdf documents in response to the email. Woke up this morning and saw the OCI website update as objection. I still did not receive an official confirmation but only status shows as objection. I’m super frustrated with this entire process.
I already went through the whole premium lounge nonsense with BLS and after more than a month and I receive this email to upload documents and notice the objection status. How are people getting approved for OCI? I’m deciding to just give up on this whole OCI process.
