OCI process

Hi,
Any idea how long it takes for OCI to reach Toronto, once it shows a date for the Dispatched from MEA section? Mine shows a date of 7 Feb as Dispatched from MEA. However, when I search in BLS, it still shows under process.

Do we need to give BLS Form 7 acknowledgement as well while submitting OCI forms or just undertaking for Voter ID & Ration card surrender will work for OCI application?

No. Just the declaration that voter and ration cards are surrendered.

Converting e-visa to OCI for newborn

Hi Everyone, sorry for spamming the conversation here
I have a quick query regarding converting an e-visa to OCI in india. My newborn travelled to India on e-visa while his OCI application is in process in Canada and his OCI is recently approved. As my kid is going to stay for more than 6-moths, if I send my kids OCI to India through Friends/relatives, can he continue his stay for more than 6months without any issue while exiting? or Do we need to register with FRRO?

As per. FRRO website "Children below the age of 12 years are exempted from FRRO/FRO registration." Anyone in the same boat please? Any inputs are greatly appreciated. Thank you
