OCI process

Hi,
I am applying for OCI for me and my wife. I am stuck on two things. Any help is appreciated.
1. My Father passed away in 2006, what should I write under profession, I selected "Other" is that right?
2. MY daughter is Canadian born OCI holder, under Part B , it asks for details of OCI holder from the family, I was able to find the reference number and date applied, what should I write place where applied? its city from where I applied or place where it was processed?
3. and probably stupid question , I just need to fill relationship of OCI holder to me, right? I mean in the section I should write " my daughter name" and relation "Daughter". Just confirming, as I heard stories that BLS send back applications even if there is one small mistake.

Processing at Consulate General

Mine still showing Processing at consulate general,I emailed consulate general office this morning and got replied that they dispatched my OCI to BLS on 23-October. BLS customer service not helping much and keep saying its processing at consular general.

Question 1: Not sure, but If I were you I would write "Deceased" if selecting "Other" opens up a new field to enter text.
Question 2: The consulate city at which you applied.
Question 3: Daughter name as per Foreign Passport and OCI card (They should be same to the letter, anyways) and Relation as "Daughter"

I walked into BLS Edmonton office yesterday and I saw few new posters which wasn't there when I went to apply for OCI. It basically said that they are short staffed, and the wait is longer. So that might be it.

Thanks for reply, unfortunately when I selected Other it didnt open any other field where I can write any information about his death.

Thats correct. This rule came in effect from yesterday. I got this news BLS Montreal too.

Ya that’s true , I called Bls today they asked me to talk with consulate general , there is one email provided to me, can somebody
share the process of surrender of these documents if they find it ? I don’t find any resource on the website , also I don’t have my own ration card but possibility of my name on my family ration card, what to do in that case?
