I was at BLS Brampton office on 26th oct 2020. They were taking both walk in and by appointment customers. I had no appointment and even with appointment customers were in same line.

Thanks but I ended up applying through purolator pick up.
Why does BLS do this; typical Indian work culture, say one thing and do the opposite.

Today while tracking status of my OCI I found that my OCI card has been processed & printed at Delhi on 10th Nov 2020 and further showing OCI received
CGI Toronto same day means today 10th November 2020.. My OCI Application alongwith application for surrendering Indian Passport was picked by Purolator on 25th September 2020. Received back my original landing and citizenship certificate on 21st Oct 2020 and cancelled Indian passport was received in 3rd Nov 2020.. Now I am waiting for delivery of OCI card through Purolator.

For written declaration for unmarried candidates, is it self-declaration or needs to be notarized?

Doesn't need to be notarized.

Three last (hopefully) questions :

1. Do I need to self-attest photocopies for the surrender application as well? (or just the copies for OCI application)
2. Do I need to submit the original COPR? The BLS support center strongly encouraged me to submit it just in case the Consulate requires it.
3. Made a blunder today - got the demand draft made out to "BLS International Service Canada" instead of "BLS International Services Canada" - would this make a difference?

1) Self attest photocopies for surrender and OCI application.
2) Yes, they took my original COPR for OCI, it was returned a few days later via Purolator.
3) No.

You will need COPR for OCI. They will take original COPR along with your application and return it in few days time.

We applied OCI for our baby on 26th oct. they took cancelled passport of both parents at the same time and said we will receive with oci booklet. How did you receive acknowledgment? My tracking information says processing at consulate general.
