1. What is the National Identification number field in OCI application? Is it Canadian Citizenship certificate?
2. What is previous passport? Some say leave it empty whereas BLS has been telling other folks that it's the old Indian passport number. Can someone who got their OCi application accepted provide clarity?

They’re still processing Oct.17 in Vancouver. I don’t expect mine to be done for another two weeks. Which will be Christmas so it may delay it further with holidays. I’m hoping for first or second week of January. I fly out on Feb.06 and if I don’t see anything by second week of January I will get an E-Visa just in case.
Get evisa now. It's just CA$58.

Courier fees has to be paid online.
Give them a call and ask for link. If you directly pay online, they charge for 3 Couriers whereas in actual now you only have 2. One for drop off, other for oci booklet drop off. No need to pay for original drop off

On the website it says it’s $80 USD and I assume there will be some other minor charges too (the site mentions 2.5% charge for payment). This is about $120 CAD/person and that’s $360 CAD for 3 people. I am better off to wait as it takes less than a week for E-Visa approval and I still have 8 weeks before our flight. If my OCI isn’t processed by Jan.20th I will then apply for the E-Visa. I am hopeful because from acknowledgement I have 13 weeks, unless Vancouver slows down by quite a bit I should be ok.
I am watching spreadsheet and timelines here closely in hopes that people are updating the info.

1. Kept it as blank. Its optional field does not even get printed.
2. Blank as its the first Canadian passport you holding.
