22nd sep: Postal received by BLS (purolator tracking)
26th sep: BLS acknowledgement email
29th sep: Application date on BLS portal
16th oct: acknowledgement on OCI website


Self and spouse OCI applications:
Oct 16th: Postal received by BLS (Purolator tracking)
No email acknowledgement yet from BLS Called them and they asked to wait another 5 days and then check.

Thanks for the dates. Please update here when you get application dates from BLS for the the new ones.

17-OCT-2023: Documents Printing Status PROCESSED.
17-OCT-2023: Dispatched from MEA (OCI).
17-OCT-2023: Document received At Toronto.

BLS Website Status
13-SEP-2023: Under Process
13-SEP-2023: Processing at Consulate General
18-OCT-2023: Counter Delivery to BLS after OCI Stamping
19-OCT-2023: Passport Ready for Dispatch after OCI Stamping
20-OCT-2023: Received OCI Card via Purolator.

Applied for my OCI - Brampton walkin
Application date : Sep 22nd
Acknowledged on OCI site : 5th October
Status : under process

any advice by when should I expect to receive OCI in hand or at least get processed ? The rep at BLS said it takes 4 weeks and I am over that timeline . Curious to know from experts here .

I know someone whose postal applications (family of 4) got rejected 3 times. So calculate postal charges they paid.

@abbas.pasha @eas2lv Does it matter if you have OCI appointment or Passport appointment in Brampton BLS? My wife has to get her OCI done and she has taken appointment under 'Passport' for 3rd Nov..

We submitted our OCI applications under other categories on 14-Oct. No issues.

You are missing the part where people have tickets to travel very soon due to their personal reason and had relied on getting eVisa which used to be processed within 48 hrs and now have to apply for OCI and pray that it is available before the travel date.

Definitely slower than trends from two weeks ago, but things are moving along.
